Erin Beute is an American actor, composer and screenwriter. She became “Mom” to many over the years as Miranda Gilbert, on THE VAMPIRE DIARIES.
She can also be seen on SHOTS FIRED, OUTCAST, FINDING CARTER, POWERS, DROP DEAD DIVA, COMA, CHARLIE'S ANGELS and more. She recently starred in the films, MIND THE GAP and SOMETHING TO LOSE, FREEDOM ON OUR MIND, THE SECRET BOOK, LET THE SPIRIT MOVE YOU and BIRD’S EYE which she wrote and also co-produced with Scott Poiley. She has shared the small and large screen with actors like Nina Dobrev, Stephen Moyer, Sharon Gless, Will Patton, J.R. Bourne, and Larry The Cable Guy.
Erin graduated Magna Cum Laude with a conservatory degree in Music and Theatre. Her studies include Margie Haber, Alchemy Acting and The Groundlings. When she’s not on set, she loves teaching acting classes, coaching actors one-on-one and hosting the primetime line-up for the CW Network.
And she loves the written word. Storytelling is her passion, and the words that fall onto the page leave a little lifeblood in everything she writes. She lives with her sweetie and two humans that she made herself.
Her screenplay BIRD'S EYE was a Top-Ten Finalist at Cinequest, 2021. It also won Best Florida Screenplay at FMBIFF 2020, Semi-finalist at Orlando Film Festival and Atlanta Film Festival. It is currently developed for television.
